North Tyneside Council has selected Assets & Compliance Managed Services UK’s Vision Asset Risk Management software to manage an important forthcoming project.

“We were looking for a system which would incorporate all the key elements of an intelligent Asset Management system with the addition of an integral Asset Tagging functionality, which we are looking to deploy across our main operational depot as part of a significant refurbishment project and Vision fitted the bill perfectly. The team at Assets & Compliance Managed Services UK have been very supportive in demonstrating the system’s capability and flexibility and we are confident it will meet our needs and, in many ways, exceed them,” comments Ian Lillie, Property Asset Manager, Strategic Investment & Property, North Tyneside Council.

The Vision Asset Management platform delivers the ability to create a fixed Assets Register that lists within each building, every asset – no matter what it is; plant, machinery, equipment, etc., where it’s located, a description and its current state.

The system’s flexibility lies in the ability to customise the platform to meet a client’s exact requirements.

The client also has the benefit of assigning and uploading all documents, images, drawings, CAD plans, even video footage to each and any individual asset.  Managing maintenance is easy with email alerts; ensuring operational performance, asset depreciation, readiness for replacement is all at the touch of a button.  With the Vision Mobile App and the Near Field Communication tags, any or part of the operation can be carried out on site.

Assets & Compliance Managed Services UK Managing Director, Steve Aldridge, comments “Clients old and new are discovering the benefits of the Vision-tag invaluable whether it’s identifying the location of asbestos and making management even easier or locating and identifying individual assets.  Using the tags, staff and/or contractors don’t even need to log or report in as the tag provides these details automatically.”  He adds “North Tyneside are using the tags to identify the location and condition of equipment such as air conditioning units, fire shutters and equipment and as the tags are so easy to write-to and use, they are doing it all themselves.”
