Senior Asp.NET Developer MVC 5/C# (Remote/Hybrid Role)

Job Function/Role:

Working in various areas of the platform: although most of your work will be on back-end services and integrations, you will also work on customer-facing web applications in a (non-customer facing role).

You’ll contribute to the architecture of new features – features that will be and are currently being used by thousands of people every day; this also includes support & maintenance activities working closely with the support and implementation teams when tasks arise.

Some of your first work in this role will be to build up our v2 system into a customer facing API giving you the advantage of working, designing and implementing the architecture for new parts of the V2 system making a unique opportunity for someone looking to expand and further their web technology stack.

General Duties:

• Reporting to the Development Manager, you will work in a small team, writing new functionality and maintaining existing applications, converting existing applications to MVC.
• This role requires an all-round developer who is experienced in the full asp.net MVC software development lifecycle.
• Handling development from initial conception through to deployment and on-going support.
• This includes business analysis, design, development, unit testing and documentation.
• This role offers a lot of flexibility, and the development team are encouraged to drive innovation in the company through ideas, enhancements, and new technologies.

We are seeking .NET Developer candidates that can hit the road running with a skill set that encompasses:

NET MVC 4/5 Architecture, Azure, Solid, DRY, LINQ, multithreading, Microservices, RESTful, Web API 2, Razor/Blazor / Xamarin and SQL Server 2012/19.

Key Required Skills:

• 5+ years of web application development experience using ASP.NET MVC 4/5 C#
• 5+ years of database development with MS SQL Server / NoSQL
• Git * (or equivalent)
• Visual Studio*
• SQL Server Management Studio
• IIS Management
• 3+ years REST API Design experience
• Xamarin Experience (not essential)
• Experience in providing estimates and technical project plans
• Flexible, adaptable, positive “can do” approach, self-disciplined
